Maplewood Sweets is a Maple Surup farm located in southern Jefferson County, New York. We source our sap from Jefferson, Lewis and Oswego counties. We take pride in everything we do from how we tap our trees to the quality containers we deliver our syrup in to your family. We stand proud on our family values and commitment to our communities. Scott Zehr

Scott is the founder and principal owner of Maplewood Sweets. He is a 4th generation maple producer. He began as a child helping his father Glenn at their farm in Lewis County. He has taken his family legacy and grown it into what you see today. Continuing the business grown on family values, he’s currently raising two 5th generation farmers of his own. He and his wife Summer are very active in the community and you will find her frequently helping around the shanty. Scotts generous nature has helped him create lasting relationships with customers and competitors alike. You may know him from his famous chicken BBQs or one of the benefit auctions he has auctioneered. No matter where you know him from he is certainly honoring his predecessors and carving out a fantastic legacy of his own.

Aaron Zehr

Aaron is an owner of our business. He and his wife Mackenzie are raising a growing family in Lewis County. He has been a crucial part of growing Maplewood Sweets. Owning a successful roofing company of his own, his skills are widely used to construct the many needed structures including our sugar shanty. He is also responsible for designing and installing our tubing systems for sap collection.

Charlie Kohl

Charlie Is an owner of our company as well as his own dairy farm and Lake Ontario Beef. He is known as a family man and for being extremely generous in his community. He is an assistant fire chief of the Ellisburg Fire dept and has volunteered there for decades.Charlie’s property contains some great maple and we’re able to tap thousands of his trees. His dedication and work ethic are second to none. It is hard to get a photo of him though as you can see!
